Rule of thirds

Palacio de la Generalitat, Valencia (Spain, 2017)

The Rule of Thirds is the first thing that as beginner and amateur photographer I learnt about image composition in classes of photography.

You know, basically you have to break image into thirds with 2 horizontal and 2 vertical lines in addition to the borders, so that you have 9 parts on your image. This 9 parts took me during first years of practising. Probably they still are taking me.

So I started smiling when I went in Palacio de la Generalitat in Valencia and saw this ceiling light. I took there this picture, but not sure I have applied the rule of thirds, isn't it?
